Who we are
Speargrass is a for-purpose business dedicated to making conservation within developments and on private land work.
Australia’s natural environment can only be preserved for future generations if we find better ways to balance development and conservation.
We work with developers and landholders to help them access better information and solve practical challenges.

ADVISORY BOARD
The Woodlands and Wetlands Trust is our conservation partner.
As well as providing us with advice and expertise, a portion of Speargrass profits will be invested in WWT conservation work in the ACT.
WWT supports the management of Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary, Australia’s largest remaining area of critically endangered Yellow Box and Blakely’s Red Gum grassy woodland.
Mulligans Flat is surrounded by a predator-proof fence which protects several threatened species of flora and fauna.
Reintroduction of more endangered species to the reserve is a key priority.
The team also work to restore the Jerrabomberra Wetlands, a unique wetland sanctuary in the heart of Canberra.
This novel ecosystem supports over 170 bird species alongside platypus, rakali, and eastern long-necked turtle … just to name a few.
Our Conservation Partner
30 by 30
Australia has committed to protecting 30 per cent of its land by 2030. This is an additional 60 million hectares from 2022. Private land conservation has a critical role to play in getting there.
By helping landholders and developers navigate the biodiversity offset market. Through practical advice Speargrass aims to increase private land conservation supporting this goal.
